Hello there! My name is Joylyn Jake and I am the creator and owner of Joyful Beader. I am of the Navajo (Dine) tribe and I am a first generation undergraduate from the University of New Mexico (2023).

My passion is glorify God in everything I do. I love to create and be crafty. I began beading back in 2020 and I fell in love with the technique and the overall idea of how you could create any design with the use of beads. From that point on I began seeking my signature and unique style. I absolutely adored the idea of flowers being worn as earrings. In that moment of realization, God had given me a vision of a design to create and thus born my signature floral earrings. Therefore, God is the reason I can bead and create the pieces I produce. He provides for me and is the firm foundation of my business. I would not be here doing what makes me smile if it weren't for God.

My Tesitimony:

I use to work for a company back in 2019 and was introduced to beading. But of course, I started out rough with beading. My lines weren't great and I had trouble figuring out flat stitch. But I prayed to God about my beadwork and trusted that God would help me figure it out. I wasn't born with this talent and I can't claim this talent because God is the ONLY reason I can bead. I began with trying to do what everyone was doing and make beaded bracelets (which unfortunately was similar to the companys' I worked for). I eventually got called out for "copying" and I felt upset because I was still new to the beading world. I pushed that style out of the way and began exploring earrings. So, I began to slowly get the hang of flat stitch beading and then one night God gave me a vision of a design (which is now my signature foral earrings) and I ended up drawing the design out. I was so excited. Now that I look back at where I was in 2019 and how I was about to do what everyone else was doing I now know God had a different path for me. He redirected me and now I can only thank Him and praise Him for what He has given me. Correction and God guiding me is the only way I was able to get where I am at now. God is my provider and through this business, He provides for me. All Glory and Praise will forever and always go to Him. 

Remember that God loves you. You may not know it now but God's love is so special and wonderful. That He gave His one and Only Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross - defeat death - and reclaim glory by rising on the third day. God loves you and so do I.  Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand.
